Reservations & Availability
How do I reserve a bike?
Reservations can only be made online through our website. Select your preferred rental date, bikes and any accessories. Complete the full payment, including the security deposit. Your reservation is only confirmed after it has been fully completed and paid. Reserve your bikes online.
How far in advance do I need to reserve?
Please reserve no later than one day before your preferred rental date. This gives us enough time to prepare the bikes and, if required, manually create your personal door code.
Can I rent a bike on the day itself?
No. Same-day reservations and walk-in rentals are not possible. No bikes will be prepared without a fully completed and paid reservation made in advance.
Can I reserve by telephone, email, WhatsApp or in the shop?
No. Reservations can only be made through our online reservation system. We cannot enter reservations by telephone, email, WhatsApp or in the shop.
When is my reservation confirmed?
Your reservation is only confirmed after the entire reservation process and payment, including the security deposit, have been completed. Make sure you have received a final reservation and payment confirmation.
What does it mean if I cannot select a date or bike?
If you cannot select a date or bike, the selected bike is not available on that date or bicycle rental is not possible that day. Please select a different bike or rental date.
Is the availability shown on the website up to date?
Yes. The online reservation system is linked to our current availability. The bikes and dates that can be selected during the reservation process are available at that moment.
Can you hold a bike for me without payment?
No. Bikes cannot be held without payment. Only a fully completed and paid reservation ensures that the selected bikes are reserved for you.
Can I reserve several bikes at once?
Yes. You can select several available bikes and accessories within one online reservation. The available options are shown in the reservation system.
Can I change my reservation afterwards?
A change is only possible after consultation and if the requested bike, accessory or rental date is still available. Please contact us as soon as possible. A change is only valid after we have confirmed it.
Bikes & Range
Which types of bikes can I rent?
We rent city bikes, low-step city bikes, electric bikes, mountain bikes, junior mountain bikes, tandems, parent-child tandems, electric tandems and electric cargo bikes. The current range is shown during the online reservation process.
Do you have low-step city bikes?
Yes. Low-step city bikes are available. You can check their current availability for your preferred rental date in the online reservation system.
Do you rent children's bikes?
We rent junior mountain bikes. Depending on the child's age and availability, we also offer child seats, junior seats, tag-along bikes and child trailers.
Do you rent tandems?
Yes. We rent standard tandems, parent-child tandems and electric tandems. Check the current availability and prices during the online reservation process.
Do you rent cargo bikes?
Yes. We rent electric two-wheel cargo bikes. Depending on availability, accessories such as a Maxi-Cosi/BabyMee attachment may be added to the reservation.
Rates & Payments
How much does it cost to rent a bike?
The rental price depends on the type of bike and the number of calendar days. Prices are calculated per day and per item. View the current amounts on our prices page.
Are the prices per hour or per day?
Our rental prices are per calendar day and per rented item. We do not rent bikes by the hour, for half a day or for a 24-hour period.
Can I rent a bike for half a day?
No. We only rent bikes per calendar day. The full daily rate applies even if you only use the bike for part of the day.
Can I rent a bike for exactly 24 hours?
No. Rental periods are based on calendar days and not 24-hour periods. For example, a rental from one afternoon until the following afternoon cannot be booked as one rental day.
Are there additional booking or administration fees?
Any booking and administration fees are displayed during the online reservation process before payment. Always check the complete reservation summary before completing your payment.
Do you offer individual discounts?
We use fixed rates and do not provide individual discounts. Current prices and any general promotions are shown on our website or in the reservation system.
How does the security deposit work?
A security deposit is charged for each rented item. The amount may vary depending on the bike or item and is shown during the reservation process and on our prices page.
When will my security deposit be refunded?
After the return, we inspect the bikes and all supplied accessories. If everything has been returned correctly, completely, on time and in accordance with the rental terms, the deposit will be refunded using the original payment method. Please allow approximately five working days for processing. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time.
Can I rent a bike for longer than one month?
This is usually not cost-effective because the rental price is calculated per calendar day. For a period longer than one month, it may be more economical to purchase a used bike from Fiets Service Weert.
Accessories & Transport
Which accessories can I rent?
Depending on availability, we rent child seats, junior seats, tag-along bikes, child trailers, Maxi-Cosi/BabyMee attachments, dog baskets, handcarts, bicycle helmets, pannier bags, SPD pedals and bicycle carriers. Add the required accessories during the online reservation process.
Can I rent accessories without renting a bike?
No. Rental accessories are only available in combination with a rental bike and must be added during the online reservation process.
What is the maximum weight for a child seat?
The rear child seat is suitable for a child weighing no more than 22 kilograms. Before departure, always check that the child fits safely in the seat and can be secured correctly.
What age is the junior seat suitable for?
The junior seat is intended for children approximately 6 to 10 years old. Whether the seat is suitable also depends on the child's height and weight.
Can I rent SPD pedals?
Yes. SPD pedals can only be rented in combination with a mountain bike and must be added during the reservation process.
Can I rent a bicycle carrier?
Yes. We rent bicycle carriers for tow-bar mounting. You are responsible for checking whether your car, tow bar, maximum nose weight and registration plate are suitable. Installation and transport are your own responsibility.
Do you rent water bottles?
No. For hygiene reasons, we do not rent water bottles. Water bottles are available for purchase.
Can I buy a puncture repair kit or spare inner tube?
Yes. Puncture repair kits and spare inner tubes are available for purchase. These are sales items and not Rental Items.
Can I rent a battery charger?
Yes. A battery charger can be rented per day, subject to availability and compatibility with the relevant battery system.
Can I charge my own bicycle battery at your location?
According to our prices page, it is possible to have your own bicycle battery charged for a fee. Please contact us beforehand to check whether this is possible for your type of battery.
Can I attach my own accessories to a rental bike?
Small personal accessories, such as a pannier bag or phone holder, are permitted if they can be attached safely without causing damage. Larger accessories, such as personal child seats, baskets or bicycle trailers, may not be installed without permission. Damage caused by personal accessories is the Renter's responsibility.
Can I transport the bikes using my own car?
Yes. You may transport the rental bikes on or inside your own vehicle. This is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for safe loading, securing, transportation and unloading. Any transport damage is the Renter's responsibility.
Electric Bikes & Range
What is the range of an electric bike?
The range depends on the bike, battery, assistance level, tyre pressure, temperature, wind, route and Rider weight. Our electric bikes generally have an estimated range of approximately 40 to 120 kilometres on a full battery. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed distance.
What is the range of an electric cargo bike or tandem?
Electric cargo bikes and tandems are heavier and therefore use more energy. According to our information, these bikes are supplied with two batteries. The estimated range is approximately 30 to 60 kilometres, depending on use and conditions.
Which conditions reduce the battery range?
Headwinds, cold weather, hilly terrain, low tyre pressure, a high total weight and continuous use of the highest assistance level will cause the battery to discharge more quickly.
How can I check the remaining battery capacity?
Check the current battery level on the electric bike's display. Do this before departure and continue to monitor the remaining capacity during your ride.
